Australia (WA) Pty Limited is seeking to appoint a person who will be integral to its ongoing success. We are looking for an ambitious and highly motivated team player to fill the role of Business Development Manager on a full-time permanent basis in our Perth Airport office. We seek someone who thrives on working autonomously to deliver results and continually seeks out new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have the following attributes

- Sales and business development experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry in Australia
- Minimum 3-4 years of sales and business development experience in the Australian freight forwarding industry
- Established networks or relationships with buyers and decision makers in the industry
- Exceptional sales ability, with a proven track record and demonstrated success in new business development
- Disciplined, responsible and structured to thrive in an autonomous position
- Ambitious, driven, and a 'go getter'
- Comfortable working towards set KPIs and sales targets
- Articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fast learner, team player, with a positive attitude
- Proficiency in freight software systems including CargoWise and other industry-specific platforms
- MUST have own vehicle and valid driver's license
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position

Duties

- Research and obtain recent leads to build a pipeline of new business prospects
- Approach potential customers to develop new business
- Present product range and pricing to decision makers
- Sign-up and on-board new customers
- Achieve agreed sales targets
- Maintain high levels of customer retention
- Work closely with other business units to sell complete Freight Forwarding solutions




- Proficient in Customer Service
- Willing and able to assist other team members if and when required
