Role Description The Business Intelligence Manager is a part time remote role responsible for developing and managing data-driven insights that support IFL’s strategic and operational decisions. The role involves designing and maintaining data models and data warehouses, ensuring data quality, and integrating data from multiple internal and external sources.

The Business Intelligence

Manager will create, optimize, and maintain dashboards and reports that track program performance, portfolio outcomes, and ecosystem trends. This position collaborates with program leads and technical teams to translate business questions into analytical requirements, identify key metrics, and recommend improvements based on findings. The role also supports capacity building by documenting BI processes, providing guidance on data usage, and helping to establish best practices for data governance and analytics.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, problem solving, and ability to interpret complex datasets.




- Proficiency in data modeling and data warehousing, with experience designing scalable, well-structured data architectures.
- Experience developing and managing dashboards, with the ability to present data clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms).
- Background in data analytics, business intelligence, information systems, statistics, or a related field; bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge of financial sector or impact investing, especially in SME and startup ecosystems, is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Strong communication skills in English; familiarity with Ethiopian market context or local languages is beneficial.
