Primary objective The Business Support Officer provides high level administrative and financial support for client focussed service delivery to be provided to frontline staff and clients in Regional Services Top End and Arnhem.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Manage the delivery and set up of goods for the Regional Offices such as furniture,



office equipment, resources, etc. (partial

to that, in conjunction with Team Leader)
- Bookings, tracking, and advising on all travel arrangements for staff in an office that travels to urban and remote communities on a regular basis.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships, demonstrating effective oral, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ensure the timely purchase of goods and services, ensuring accurate payment and reconciliation of tax invoices.
- Responsible for business and financial support ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, working with high volume transactions in a dynamic environment subject to strict deadlines.
- Undertake any other duties as directed by the Business Manager or Business Support Officer.
- Provide training and support to regional services staff on whole of government, agency and work unit administrative processes and procedures including travel, finance and procurement.

Selection criteria

Essential

1. Demonstrated experience as a pro-active administrator with the ability to train an administrative team in frontline service

delivery environment with solid client conflict resolution and customer service skills.




- Proven experience providing high level administrative support and advice including auditing financial reports; records management; procurement; and overseeing reception functions.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out financial investigations; manage own workload and objectives, including exercising initiative,

discretion, problem solving and decision making at the delegated level of responsibility.
- Proven ability to develop, maintain and provide advice on procedures for administrative processes such as procurement, assets,

travel and records management.
- Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate outcomes in an ever-changing environment.

1. Ability to work independently and within a team environment and the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse

cultures.
- Preparedness to travel in 4WD vehicles or light planes as required, and ability to undertake travel including overnight stays as necessary and a current Northern Territory driver licence or the ability to obtain.

Desirable

1. Sound working knowledge of TRM (Territory Records Manager) or other similar electronic record management systems.
2. Knowledge of whole of government policies and procedures, including records management, procurement and financial
