Windsor Meats is seeking a Butcher Shop Sales Assistant to join our team in Malvern, SA 5061. This is a casual role that will provide you with the opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment and gain valuable experience in the meat and butchery industry. The position would be for 30 to 43 hours per across 4 or 5 days a week with overtime, including Saturdays. No Sundays. There is prospect for this role to develop into a full time position for a suitable candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection and answering any queries they may have
- Preparing and packaging meat products according to specifications
- Restocking shelves and ensuring the retail space is well-maintained, clean and presentable
- Following all health and safety regulations within the butcher shop
- Supporting the butchers with various tasks as required
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, preferably within the food or hospitality industry, but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and efficiently
- A passion for high-quality meat products and a willingness to learn about different cuts and preparation methods
- Adaptability and the ability to work well within a close-knit team environment
