Introduction:
Carlisle Adventist College is seeking a passionate and relational Year 5 Teacher to join our growing Prep to Year 12 Christian learning community in beautiful Mackay, Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who wants to make a genuine difference in the lives of students during a key stage of their learning journey. Year 5 is a wonderful age to teach: students are developing greater independence, curiosity, confidence and responsibility, while still needing strong pastoral care, clear routines, encouragement and a teacher who believes in them.

About the role
As our Year 5 Teacher, you will:
create a positive, engaging and Christ-centred classroom environment;
deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences;
build strong relationships with students, families and colleagues;
support the academic, social,
emotional and spiritual growth of students;
use effective classroom routines, explicit teaching and inclusive practices;
contribute positively to the wider life and mission of the College.
About you The successful applicant will be a teacher who:
has a genuine passion for working with upper primary students;
communicates well with students, parents and staff;
is organised, flexible and willing to contribute to a team-oriented team;
can differentiate learning to meet the needs of students;
is committed to creating a safe, respectful and engaging classroom;
supports the Christian ethos and Seventh-day Adventist identity of the College.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant teaching qualification and be eligible for registration with the Queensland College of Teachers. It is preferable that the successful applicant be a baptised and practising member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, or a practising Christian who is supportive of the unique Seventh-day Adventist identity and mission of the College.

Salary The salary range, depending on years of experience, is approximately $91,000 to $126,000 per annum, before tax and excluding superannuation.
