Your new company

Hays Recruitment is partnering with leading mining and facilities management Contractors to recruit experienced and trade-qualified carpenters for casual FIFO opportunities across remote mine sites in Far North Queensland.

Your new role

As a Qualified Carpenter, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance, repair, and project work across mining accommodation villages and operational facilities.

Key duties include

- General carpentry maintenance and repairs
- Installation of doors, windows, flooring, and cabinetry
- Repairs to roofing, walls, fencing, and structures
- Working safely within a mining and facilities maintenance environment
- Adhering to site safety procedures and compliance requirements

What you'll need to succeed

- Trade Certificate in Carpentry (Certificate III Carpentry)
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Construction White Card
- Previous mining, remote camp, facilities maintenance,



or commercial construction experience is highly regarded
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
