Remote EMS is expanding its event medical team and is seeking experienced Event Medics to provide medical coverage across Newcastle, Maitland and the wider Hunter region.
Our team supports a range of events, including motorsport, endurance events, sporting competitions, festivals and community events.
This is a casual, event-based role, with most shifts occurring on weekends. Successful applicants may work independently or alongside paramedics and other experienced healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and treat medical and trauma presentations
- Respond to incidents throughout event venues
- Provide appropriate first aid and pre-hospital care
- Complete clear and accurate clinical documentation
- Escalate care and arrange ambulance assistance when required
- Provide structured patient handovers to emergency services
- Assist with the setup and operation of event medical facilities
- Work collaboratively with event organisers, staff and other medical personnel
- Maintain professional conduct and patient confidentiality
Essential requirements
Applicants must have
- A Diploma of Emergency Healthcare, Diploma of Paramedical Science or an equivalent recognised qualification
- Previous experience in event medicine, ambulance services, patient transport, emergency response or a comparable clinical environment
- A current Working With Children Check
- A current National Police Check,
or willingness to obtain one
- The ability to assess and manage patients confidently within their approved scope of practice
- Robust communication, teamwork and clinical documentation skills
- Reliable availability for weekend and event-based shifts
This position is not suitable for applicants without prior practical clinical or emergency care experience.
