Location: Wellard / Kwinana / Rockingham

Work Type: Casual

Salary: $40.18 per hour + superannuation, depending on qualifications, experience and demonstrated skills. (Equivalent to $79,400 per annum for a full-time 38h week)

Seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced female Support Workers to join our team supporting a young person with additional support needs.

This is a casual position suited to support workers seeking flexible employment while becoming part of a small, consistent support team. Casual employees provide planned supports, additional shifts, and cover annual leave, personal leave and unforeseen staff absences to ensure continuity of care.

Shift Times

Monday to Friday

- Morning: 7:00 am – 9:00 am
- Afternoon: 2:00 pm – 4:30pm

Approximately 22.5 hours per week.

Flexible Position Structure

We understand not every applicant will be available for every shift.

Applications are welcome from candidates who are available for:

- Morning shifts only (7am – 9am)
- Afternoon shifts only (2pm – 4:30 pm)
- Both morning and afternoon shifts
- Selected weekdays only

The role may be filled by one permanent employee or split across several permanent part-time employees, depending on the availability of the successful applicants. Wherever possible, the same support worker will complete both the morning and afternoon shift on the days they are rostered to promote consistency and build a positive therapeutic relationship with the participant.

About The Role

You will provide person-centred support including:

- Morning personal care and school preparation
- Breakfast support and daily living assistance
- School drop-off and pick-up (if required)
- Community participation, transport and social engagement
- Supporting emotional regulation using Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
- Encouraging independence and life skills




- Completing accurate daily shift notes, progress notes and documentation

Essential Requirements

- Female applicants only (this is an identified position under the Sex Discrimination Act 1984 (Cth) due to the participant's personal care and privacy requirements)
- Experience supporting participants with psychosocial disability, mental health conditions, autism and/or complex behaviours
- Demonstrated experience supporting people with complex behaviours and implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies
- Ability to implement Behaviour Support Plans and respond calmly to behaviours of concern
- Strong communication, rapport-building and de-escalation skills
- Certificate IV in Mental Health, Disability, Community Services or equivalent experience (highly desirable)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WA)
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, roadworthy and comprehensively insured vehicle
