Our Event Front of House team plays a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for every guest who visits our venue.

As a Front of House Usher, you will be responsible for assisting guests throughout their event journey, from arrival through to departure. Working as part of a professional and customer-focused team, you will help manage patron movement, provide information and support and contribute to the safe and efficient operation of events.

This is a diverse and dynamic role, with team members working across a variety of operational areas depending on event requirements. These may include turnstiles, arena doors, cloakroom services, staff entry points, ticket and accreditation validation, wayfinding, premium hospitality areas and other front of house locations across the venue.

You will provide exceptional customer service while ensuring venue procedures, safety requirements and event operations are delivered to the highest standard. The role offers variety, with no two events being the same and requires individuals who can adapt quickly, communicate effectively and remain professional in a fast paced and ever changing environment.

As part of the Events team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and stakeholders to ensure every event is delivered safely, efficiently and with a focus on outstanding guest experiences.

- Physically fit and capable of standing, walking and navigating multiple flights of stairs for the duration of a shift, while maintaining a professional, friendly and attentive presence for patrons.
- Remain calm, confident and decisive in high pressure situations, including undertaking Fire Warden responsibilities as part of the Emergency Control Organisation.
- Follow direction effectively and work reliably within established procedures and operational requirements.
- Resolve guest enquiries and concerns professionally, using strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of ticketing and accreditation systems to ensure authorised venue access.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Build rapport easily, embrace diversity and communicate confidently with people from all backgrounds and at all levels.

ABOUT THE VENUE

Built by the Brisbane City Council as a world class multipurpose facility, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre formed part of Brisbane's bid for the 1992 Olympic Games. The Centre has been operated since its inception by Legends Global (formerly ASM Global and AEG Ogden Brisbane Pty Ltd). Ownership was transferred to Stadiums Queensland (formerly Major Sports Facilities Authority) from 1 July 2002.





The Brisbane Entertainment Centre has hosted a diverse range of events including Monster Trucks, Supercross, Circuses, Bull Riding, Concerts, Conventions, School Speech Nights, Ice Spectaculars, Wrestling and Boxing.

Primarily recognised as a venue to host concerts, family shows and sporting events, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre also specialises in staging corporate events in particular conferences, seminars, product launches and gala banquets.
