About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Certificate III Educator to join the team at MindChamps Early Learning & PreSchool in Cherrybrook. This is a full-time position based in our vibrant early learning centre, where you will play a vital role in nurturing and educating young children during their formative years. As an educator, you will create engaging learning experiences that support children's developmental milestones and foster a love of learning in a safe, inclusive and stimulating workplace.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences that support children's cognitive, physical, social and emotional development
- Provide direct care and supervision to children in accordance with duty of care obligations and centre policies
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and inclusive community
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, interests and learning experiences through daily feedback and formal reporting
- Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic learning environment that meets all regulatory requirements and health and safety standards
- Support children's wellbeing and behaviour guidance using positive, responsive and respectful approaches
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement the service's educational programs and curriculum
- Contribute to the achievement of the service's learning and development outcomes as outlined in the National Quality Standards
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation relating to children's learning and development
What we're looking for
- A current or pending Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- A valid Working with Children Check (WWC)
or willingness to obtain one prior to commencement
- Current First Aid and CPR certification for infants and children
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and learning theories
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with children, families and team members
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic early learning environment
- Sound knowledge of child safe practices and commitment to duty of care
- Experience in a childcare or early learning setting (desirable)
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards (desirable)
