Position details

- Permanent, full-time position
- 38 ordinary hours per week

- Location: Rowville VIC 3178
- Flexible roster, including weekends and public holidays
- Salary: $79,423 per annum plus statutory superannuation.

Role overview The Chef is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and leading kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key responsibilities

- Plan and prepare dishes in line with menu standards
- Develop and update menu items, including specials
- Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
- Supervise and train kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Monitor stock levels and minimise wastage




- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage kitchen operations during service

Qualifications and experience
- A relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent field is mandatory
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar chef role
- Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy service workplace
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
