Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook seafood, grilled items, and other menu dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist with daily activity planning and food preparation to ensure smooth service.
- Monitor cooking times and plating to maintain consistency and quality.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team during peak service periods.
- Inspect and verify ingredient quality and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen and follow sanitation procedures.
- Manage stock rotation and storage to minimise waste and maintain product quality.
- Receive kitchen deliveries and report any shortages or quality issues.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety and assist with basic equipment upkeep.

Skills and Qualifications

- Required:



Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience as a cook, 3 years preferred, with proven experience in a busy kitchen environment.
- Desirable: Experience working with seafood and grill cuisine.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen operations.
- Attributes: Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced team, reliable availability for evenings, weekends and public holidays, robust communication and teamwork skills.
- Work Authorization: Right to work in Australia required.
