Hume Bank is seeking an exceptional Chief Executive Officer to lead one of Australia’s largest regional customer-owned banks through its next phase of growth and evolution.

With approximately 60,000 members across Southern Recent South Wales, North-East Victoria and Geelong, Hume Bank combines meaningful scale with the values, accessibility and member-first focus of a trusted mutual institution.

Following a period of significant growth, capability enhancement and the successful merger with Geelong Bank, the Board is seeking a visible, commercially astute and values-led CEO to consolidate recent progress, strengthen organisational performance and position the Bank for sustainable long-term success.

The successful candidate will bring senior executive leadership experience within a regulated financial services environment, ideally banking or mutual banking. They will demonstrate strong commercial judgement, regulatory credibility and the ability to balance member value with community impact.





Importantly, they will lead, engage and develop a talented team of more than 200 employees across Hume Bank’s regions, fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence and collaboration. They will also be a visible ambassador for the Bank, strengthening the deep connections between our people, our members and the communities we serve.
