· Afternoon shift: MON - FRI 3:30pm - 12:00am + O/time with 30% shift loading

About You

You are looking for a new challenge, value long-term job security, and possess the following:

- Experience within the hydraulic cylinder repair, chrome plating, or heavy engineering industry, or a willingness to undertake training.




- Experience in hard chrome plating of hydraulic rods, including surface preparation, plating processes, and quality inspection (highly desirable).
- Proven mechanical aptitude with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality workmanship.
- Experience working within accredited Quality Management Systems (e.g. ISO 9001).
- Current Australian C Class Driver's Licence (minimum requirement).
- Solid mechanical ability and problem-solving skills.
- High regard for workplace health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Pride in workmanship with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to follow work instructions and engineering specifications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible, reliable, and resilient with a positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete delegated tasks under the supervision of the designated senior staff member.
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining methods, operation sequences, and machine settings.
- Prepare hydraulic rods for hard chrome plating, including stripping, masking, cleaning, and surface preparation.
- Carry out hard chrome plating processes in accordance with company procedures and quality requirements.
- Finish grind hydraulic rods to the specified dimensions and surface finish in accordance with engineering drawings.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring equipment to ensure components meet specification.
- Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and organised condition.
- Comply with all company quality, environmental, and safety procedures.
