About the Position Working within our Engineering Services team, the Civil Design Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership to the Civil Design team in the planning, design,



and delivery of the annual Capital Works Program, with a particular focus on traffic and transport engineering. The role ensures compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and organisational policies while maintaining promoting best practice and continuous improvement in service delivery.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, meeting the requirements for membership (or eligibility for membership) of Engineers Australia, together with substantial experience in civil design, traffic engineering and transport planning within a local government and/ or metropolitan environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, including the ability to lead, mentor and develop employees.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of engineering standards, specifications and guidelines applicable to road, drainage, traffic and transport design, including Main Roads WA, Austroads and relevant Australian Standards.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office and specialised technical software, including AutoCAD and SIDRA.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- A current National Police Clearance.
- A current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
