Our client is a national civil construction company that has a differentiated market presence through its diversification and self-performing capabilities. Its core business is focused on bulk earthworks, roads, and civil infrastructure across Victoria, NSW, Queensland, and South Australia.
We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Supervisor to manage and coordinate daily on-site operations for major civil infrastructure projects; north and north west of Melbourne. You will ensure work progresses according to scope, schedule, and safety standards, while leading subcontractors and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.
Key to success in this role is the ability to drive team performance through an accountable work environment, ensuring each crew member understands their role and can deliver their best on a high-pressure civil infrastructure site.
A key part of this role is taking ownership of onsite safety leadership, ensuring all activities comply with HSEQ standards and Safe Work Method Statements, with a strong focus on risk mitigation and safety culture across major civil infrastructure environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with engineering team, prepare a rolling 2-week project program in line with master project program.
- Lead site teams and subcontractors to meet program and quality targets.
- Deliver pre-starts and toolbox talks with a robust safety focus.
- Monitor designated sections or project packages of works to deliver on time and within budget and quality standards.
- Upkeep of project site diary and appropriate specific software to ensure full transparency on progress and status.
- Conduct and participate in site meetings (toolboxes, pre-start, induction and other HSE requirements).
- Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety leadership.
MUST-HAVE
- Relevant qualifications in construction, earthmoving or other.
- Minimum 5 years' experience across major civil infrastructure projects of $50m plus and with MRPV experience being preferable.
- Able to show competence in planning projects and recording progress.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans and have a strong technical understanding of construction methods.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
