About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced housekeeping cleaner to join our Environmental Services department at the Darlinghurst Campus consisting of Private & Public Hospital, The Sacred Heart Health Service and The St Vincent’s Clinic.

Pay and benefits for this role

$36.39 per hour including 25% casual loading

Plus superannuation

Plus salary packaging (up to $15,900/year tax‑free)

You will help keep our hospital clean, safe, and comfortable for patients, visitors, and staff.



Training will be provided in hospital cleaning and infection control so you can clean rooms and public areas to a high standard.

This job includes a 7‑day rotating roster with the following shift start times:

Morning Shift: starting between 6:00am and 8:30am

Evening Shift: starting between 3:00pm and 6:00pm

About you

As an outstanding housekeeping cleaner, you are a master at providing cleaning services with extremely attention to detail. Your skills will include:

Has experience in cleaning (hospital or hotel experience is helpful)

Works well in a team or independently

Is reliable, punctual, hardworking, and well presented

Has valuable communication and people skills

Can plan work and manage time well

Can work weekdays, weekends, public holidays, mornings, and afternoons

Can use floor machines (polishers/scrubbers) — helpful but not required
