Working within our Quality, Practice & Performance team, you'll lead organisational approaches to safeguarding and client safety, oversee incidents and complaints, identify opportunities for improvement, and help build a culture where safety, learning and accountability are everyone's responsibility.
As our Safeguarding, Complaints & Client Safety Lead, you'll play a critical role in helping make that happen. This is more than a governance or compliance position. It's an opportunity to influence how we protect vulnerable people, respond when concerns arise, learn from client experiences, and continuously improve the quality and safety of the services we deliver.
Working within our Quality, Practice & Performance team, you'll help ensure that client wellbeing remains at the centre of decision-making across the organisation. You'll champion safeguarding practices, strengthen organisational capability and help create environments where people feel safe to speak up, raise concerns and access support with confidence. What You'll Be Doing You'll be helping to ensure that every concern raised becomes an opportunity to learn, improve and strengthen client outcomes.
Your Work Will Include Leading
Youturn's safeguarding, client safety and complaints management approaches to ensure people receiving our services are protected, respected and heard. Supporting leaders and teams to respond effectively, sensitively and safely when client concerns or incidents arise. Providing guidance on complex matters involving client wellbeing, safety and rights.
Identifying themes and trends from incidents, feedback and complaints to improve client experiences and service quality. Building the confidence and capability of leaders and teams through coaching, education and practical support. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, regulators and internal teams to strengthen safeguarding culture and practice across the organisation.

Desired Skills And Experience
What you'll bring Experience in safeguarding, client safety, complaints management, investigations, quality, governance or risk. The ability to confidently navigate complex and sensitive situations while keeping client wellbeing at the centre of your approach.
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence positive outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience working within community services, human services, health, mental health or related sectors. A strong understanding of safeguarding principles, client rights, trauma-informed practice and continuous improvement.
Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Human Services, Public Health, Law or a related discipline.
