Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design, solve, and review advanced environmental science problems with real-world relevance and scientific rigor
Apply your expertise in climate modeling, ecology, sustainability, or related disciplines to challenge and improve AI reasoning
Develop complex, nuanced problem statements that push AI systems to think more accurately about the natural world
Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts across leading research labs
Ensure scientific accuracy, depth, and clarity in every deliverable
Work independently on task-based assignments — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Hold a Master's or PhD in Environmental Science,
Climate Science, Ecology, or a closely related field
Experienced with Python or R for research, data analysis, or modeling
Deep subject matter expertise in climate modeling, ecology, or sustainability science
Exceptionally strong written communicator — you can translate complex science into clear, rigorous prose
Detail-oriented and methodical, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality
Fluent in English and based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality evaluation, or AI training workflows
Background in scientific writing, peer review, or academic publishing
Experience working across interdisciplinary teams or cooperative research environments
