Join our Medical Imaging team and play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality diagnostic services. Working alongside radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and nuclear medicine technologists, you'll help ensure patients receive safe, efficient and compassionate care while contributing to the smooth operation of a busy healthcare environment.
About This Role
Your new role
As a Clinical Assistant within Medical Imaging, you'll be an important member of a multidisciplinary team, helping deliver exceptional patient care by providing clinical and administrative support across a range of imaging services. Every day is different as you assist with patient flow, coordinate examinations and work alongside highly skilled healthcare professionals in a dynamic hospital environment.
In This Role You Will
- Support radiologists, radiographers, sonographers and nuclear medicine technologists with delegated clinical and administrative duties.
- Assist with patient preparation, transfers and escorting patients throughout the Medical Imaging department.
- Coordinate patient appointments, imaging workflows and transport arrangements to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Maintain accurate patient information using hospital and radiology information systems while supporting examination scheduling and tracking.

- A strong commitment to patient-centred care, safety and maintaining confidentiality.
- Confidence using, or the willingness to learn, hospital information systems and digital technologies.
- The ability to work within a delegated scope of practice while recognising when to seek guidance from supervising clinicians.
- A proactive approach to teamwork, continuous learning and delivering high-quality service.

About Us The Division of Diagnostic Radiology provides a 24-hour clinical support service. The Department incorporates a complete Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS).
All general radiological services including mammography as well as advanced imaging services, including nuclear medicine and PET imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, all major angiography and vascular interventional procedures, including cardiac examinations, are provided.
The Division is an accredited centre that provides education and training for registrars, radiography graduates and students, nursing staff and medical students.
