Role Description The Compliance Analyst is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting CMRRL’s mission by monitoring, assessing, and documenting compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies related to children’s digital media. Day-to-day activities include reviewing digital content and practices for alignment with child-centered guidelines, analyzing data and documentation to identify compliance risks, and assisting in the development of procedures that support ethical and secure media production.

The role involves collaborating with research staff to interpret regulatory requirements, contributing to audits of partner organizations or internal programs, and preparing clear summaries and reports for leadership, funders, and external stakeholders.

The Compliance

Analyst will also help translate complex compliance and risk findings into accessible language that can inform advocacy, public education materials, and internal decision-making.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Regulatory Compliance skills, including familiarity with standards related to digital media, privacy,



advertising, and child protection.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risk, and evaluate processes for consistency with established guidelines.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to prepare reports, explain complex compliance issues to non-specialists, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess foundational Finance and Auditing skills to support compliance reviews, assess controls, and contribute to documentation of findings.
- Relevant qualifications include experience in compliance, risk management, policy analysis, or related fields; ability to work independently in a remote environment; strong attention to detail; and demonstrated interest in children’s media, digital ethics, or nonprofit work.
- A bachelor’s degree in law, public policy, business, communications, or a related discipline is beneficial, as is prior experience in nonprofit or research settings.
