About the role The Compliance and Enforcement Officer drives the effective regulation of combat sports across NSW by leading investigative and enforcement activities. The role works with a diverse range of stakeholders to conduct reviews and investigations, provide regulatory advice, manage regulatory risks, interpret legislation, and gather and present evidence to support informed regulatory decisions. Success in the role requires sound judgement, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage complex and sensitive matters. About you

Our ideal candidate will bring to the role a depth of experience in regulation, risk management and investigation, including:

- Demonstrated experience in compliance, regulatory, enforcement, investigation or risk management environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and effectively manage sensitive or contentious matters.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise and deliver high-quality outcomes while managing competing priorities and legislative requirements.
- Experience interpreting legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks and applying these in a practical operational context.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including experience gathering evidence, preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Confidence using technology and information management systems to support compliance, reporting and regulatory activities.

Essential Requirements

- Current Driver's Licence.




- Available for weekend and evening duty as required for attendance at contests.
- Ability to obtain and maintain accreditation as a Combat Sports Inspector.

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident or hold a valid Australian working Visa for the duration of the appointment.
