About the role

Better View Landscapes Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Concretor (Landscape & Civil) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Prospect and offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse landscape and civil construction projects across the greater Sydney region.

As a Concretor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality concrete works that form the foundation of our landscape and civil projects. This position is fundamental to ensuring our projects are completed to the highest standards, on time and within budget, whilst maintaining strict safety and quality protocols.

What you'll be doing

- Preparing and setting out concrete areas, including levelling, compacting and constructing formwork to precise specifications
- Mixing, pouring and finishing concrete for driveways, pathways, patios, kerbs, and other landscape features
- Operating concrete finishing equipment including trowels, floats, screeds and power tools to achieve desired surface finishes
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Measuring, marking and cutting concrete elements to required dimensions
- Applying sealers, protective coatings and surface treatments to concrete works
- Collaborating with other trades and team members to ensure seamless project delivery
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements
- Performing equipment maintenance and care of tools and materials




- Contributing to project timelines and assisting with problem-solving on site

What we're looking for

- Recognised qualification or minimum 4 years' experience
- Proven experience as a Concretor in landscape and civil construction projects
- Robust knowledge of concrete mixing ratios, pouring techniques and finishing methods
- Proficiency with concrete finishing tools and equipment, including mechanical finishing tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints and specifications accurately
- Physical fitness and capability to perform labour-intensive work in various weather conditions
- A solid understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements relevant to construction sites
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites across Sydney
- Knowledge of landscape and civil construction standards and best practices is highly desirable
- Experience with decorative concrete, exposed aggregate or stamped finishes is advantageous
