We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Configuration Management (CM) Officer to join a major maritime project team. In this critical role, you will assist in the coordination and delivery of project CM activities, ensuring strict adherence to the Configuration Management Plan. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project, supporting the successful delivery and handover of vessels to sustainment activities.

Working closely with the Configuration Manager/Lead, you will act as a key liaison to ensure best practices are applied across engineering, programs, and ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) departments. This position requires a blend of technical understanding and strong administrative skills to manage configuration information and support the engineering change process.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the coordination, maintenance, and assessment of CM impacts for the project’s Engineering Change Process.
- Ensure accurate capture and maintenance of configuration information and changes within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system.
- Liaise with stakeholders to apply CM best practices and ensure adherence to the approved CM Plan (CMP).
- Support the coordination and conduct of Configuration Audits and reporting activities.
- Regularly report on CM status and assist with the close-out of CM activities to schedule.
- Facilitate teamwork and integration between internal and external parties (e.g., Design to Production).
- Act on behalf of the CM Lead in their absence, ensuring continuity and quality of outputs.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in configuration management and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills,



capable of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience

- Certificate IV or higher in a technical discipline.
- Demonstrated experience or significant exposure to Configuration Planning, Identification, Control, Auditing, and Reporting.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documents, preferably within a Marine or Defence environment (though not essential).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard engineering software.
- Experience in or exposure to Teamcenter Unified (TCU) is highly regarded.
