Job Duties The construction Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale power generation infrastructure supporting hyperscale data center operations.
You will be accountable for installation of gas-fired reciprocating engine plants, full balance of plant (BOP), and overall project execution including schedule, cost, permitting, and contractor management.
The position serves as the single point of accountability on site, coordinating EPC contractors, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to achieve safe, compliant, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
This position reports globally to the Senior Director of our new Power Generation division and will be based at Jandakot, Western Australia . It is expected that this role will require local and international travel for at least 20% of your time.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage master construction schedule from mobilization through commissioning and handover
- Develop and manage construction budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
- Lead permitting, environmental compliance, and regulatory approvals in Australia
- Manage all electrical, gas, civil, and mechanical contractors and subcontractors
- Ensure integration of electrical, gas, and emissions subsystems
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders
- Provide regular progress reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management
- 10+ years’ experience in large-scale industrial or power projects
- Solid experience with EPC project execution and multi-contractor coordination
- Knowledge of environmental permitting and emissions compliance
- Experience with LV to HV electrical systems and power generation equipment
