We are looking for someone who is organised, comfortable with numbers and eager to build a career in the construction industry.

This is a formal traineeship where you’ll gain practical experience while completing a CPC40320 Certificate IV in Building Project Support (Contract Administrator). You’ll be supported to learn the role from the ground up, with your responsibility growing as your skills and confidence develop.

You don’t need previous construction or contract administration experience. What matters most is your willingness to learn, attention to detail and commitment to doing accurate, dependable work.

What You’ll Learn and Deliver

- Prepare and issue project invoicing
- Track and analyse job costs and performance
- Support estimating and quotations
- Review contracts and flag risk
- Administer projects and client records
- Build confidence across business systems

You’ll become the important link between our site operations, Commercial team and Finance department, helping ensure completed work is captured correctly, project records remain reliable and customers receive accurate invoices on time.

What You Bring

- Genuine confidence working with numbers and a willingness to develop strong commercial skills.
- Good computer literacy, including some familiarity with Excel or spreadsheets through school, study or work.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to notice when information or figures do not match.
- An organised approach and the ability to manage deadlines and follow-up tasks.
- Clear, professional communication skills.
- Confidence learning current technology and cloud-based systems.
- Reliability, initiative and ownership of your work.
- A willingness to ask questions, accept coaching and keep learning.
- A firm commitment to completing the Certificate IV alongside the role.

Experience in administration, accounts, retail, hospitality, customer service or any environment where accuracy and deadlines mattered will be helpful, but it is not essential.
