With continued growth and an exciting project pipeline, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Administrator to join the team and contribute to the next phase of our success.
The Role
As a Contract Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful delivery of construction projects from award through to completion. Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and the wider delivery team, you will be responsible for commercial administration, procurement, contract management, financial tracking, and stakeholder coordination across multiple projects.
This is a hands-on role offering exposure to all aspects of project delivery and the opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer subcontractor and supplier procurement processes
- Prepare, issue and manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders
- Review and process subcontractor claims, supplier invoices and contractor payments
- Assist with project budgeting, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
- Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with document control procedures
- Prepare, assess and negotiate variations and associated costings
- Coordinate RFIs, project correspondence and contract administration activities
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients to support project delivery
- Assist Project and Site Management teams with procurement schedules and delivery programs
- Support client invoicing and contract compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting systems using platforms including Procore, Microsoft Project and Excel
- Contribute to project planning, risk management and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company WHS, Quality Assurance and Environmental requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Contract Administrator within the construction industry
- Understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost management principles
- Ability to prepare and assess variations, progress claims and financial reports
- Robust understanding of construction documentation and drawings
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational capability
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Microsoft Project and construction management software such as Procore, Hammertech,
- Degree qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or related field highly regarded
- Experience working on commercial, government, education or refurbishment projects will be highly regarded.
