The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator to join our growing team. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial and contractual integrity of our projects through meticulous documentation and process management.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process contractor/supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms
- Maintain comprehensive contract files and documentation
- Process variations and claims in accordance with contract requirements
- Assist in preparing progress claims and managing project financial documentation
- Monitor and track project costs against budgets
- Liaise with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding contractual matters
- Maintain registers for insurances, bank guarantees, and other contract securities
- Assist in tender preparation and contract administration
- Support project teams with contract interpretation and compliance
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in contract administration, preferably in civil construction
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Experience with construction management software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously while maintaining team collaboration
- Understanding of construction contracts and relevant legislation
Desirable Qualities
- Experience with AS2124, AS4000, or similar contract frameworks
- Previous experience in civil construction industry
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Business, or related field
- Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
