Location – Brisbane - Queensland, Australia.

Contract Duration: 12 Months (with potential extension)

About the Role

· We are seeking experienced Control Systems Project Managers to lead and deliver industrial automation and control system initiatives within a major mining and resources environment. The successful candidates will manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring secure, efficient, and successful delivery of control system upgrades, enhancements, and deployment projects.

· The role requires strong project management capabilities combined with practical understanding of industrial control systems, including Citect SCADA, Siemens PLCs, and Rockwell Automation PLCs. Previous experience within mining, processing plants, heavy industry, or operational technology (OT) environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end delivery of Control Systems projects from initiation through to commissioning and handover.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, operations, vendors, and site personnel.
- Oversee control system upgrades, migrations, and integration activities.
- Ensure adherence to operational, safety,



and cybersecurity standards.
- Facilitate project governance activities including status reporting, issue management, and executive updates.
- Manage contractor and vendor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support commissioning, testing, cutover planning, and operational readiness activities.
- Engage with site stakeholders and travel to operational sites as required.
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons-learned initiatives across project delivery.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

Technical Knowledge

- Working knowledge of:
- Citect SCADA
- Siemens PLC Platforms
- Rockwell Automation PLC Platforms

- Understanding of industrial control systems architecture and operational technology environments.
- Familiarity with automation systems, communications networks, and plant control infrastructure.

Project Management

- Minimum 8+ years of project management experience delivering industrial or control systems projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in mining, energy, manufacturing, utilities, or heavy industrial sectors.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience managing vendors, contractors, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Proven track record delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget

Preferred Qualifications

· Engineering or related degree · PMP or PRINCE2 certification

· Mining/resource sector experience.
