COOK / KITCHENHAND — BANKSIA KITCHEN (Narrabeen)

Banksia Kitchen is looking for a hard‑working, reliable Cook/Kitchenhand to join our growing team. If you enjoy working in a fast‑paced café kitchen, take pride in clean, organised work, and love creating great food for locals, this role is perfect for you.

⭐ What We’re Looking For

- Experience in a café or commercial kitchen (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work fast, clean, and efficiently during busy service
- Strong prep skills: chopping, portioning, assembling, basic cooking
- Confidence on the line: plating, cooking, supporting the chef
- Good communication and teamwork
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Someone who takes pride in food quality and presentation
- Ability to follow systems, recipes, and maintain consistency
- Positive attitude — no ego, no drama

⭐ Your Day‑to‑Day

- Food prep (vegetables, proteins, sauces, sandwiches, breakfast items)
- Cooking and assembling menu items during service
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and well‑stocked
- Dishwashing and general cleaning as needed
- Supporting the chef and FOH team




- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Helping keep service smooth during busy periods

- Weekday shifts (Monday–Friday)
- One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday)
- Flexible hours available
