The position is a permanent part time role, working 3 hours every Thursday and be rostered to work full-day shifts on alternate weekends, covering Friday through Monday, totaling 34 hours per fortnight. The role includes a combination of on site duties and on call responsibilities as part of a rotating roster. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work in conjunction with our Specialist DFV Crisis Workers and across Sera's programs to provide support to victim survivors escaping domestic violence by providing trauma informed care.

In addition to direct client support, the position also involves contributing to the overall safety, cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere of the shelter by assisting with general upkeep and facility care as required. - Certificate III in Community Services or similar qualification (highly desirable) - 1 year experience in support work Role requirements - Current drivers licence - Positive Notice of a Working with Children Check (Blue card) - or ability to obtain prior to commencement - First Aid and CPR certificate - or ability to obtain once commenced employment - Knowledge of trauma-informed and client-centred care - Ability to provide empathetic, respectful, and non-judgmental support to individuals in crisis - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
