Our client is a well-established Australian property development and project management organisation with a strong track record of delivering residential communities across key growth corridors. With a growing project pipeline and a collaborative leadership team, the business offers a stable and fast-paced environment where finance plays a critical role in supporting commercial decisions and ongoing growth.
The Role Reporting directly to the CEO and Directors, the Corporate Accountant will take ownership of day-to-day financial operations across a multi-entity group structure. This is a broad, hands-on role that will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working across both transactional and management accounting responsibilities while partnering closely with key stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities
- Process invoices and manage end-of-month accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Prepare and process payroll, employee expense reimbursements and superannuation payments
- Complete daily bank reconciliations and maintain director credit card reconciliations
- Prepare month-end reconciliations across all accounts, including intercompany loan accounts
- Maintain the general ledger and perform balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of monthly and annual budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Support FBT requirements and liaise with external tax agents and consultants
- Partner with project teams to provide financial support across active developments
- Work closely with the CEO and Directors on financial reporting, commercial insights and strategic initiatives
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and continuous process improvement initiatives
The Candidate
- Minimum 4 years' accounting experience within a commercial or qualified services environment
- Completed CA or CPA qualifications
- Experience working within multi-entity environments and managing intercompany transactions
- Previous exposure to property, construction, development or business services environments will be advantageous however not essential
- Experience using MYOB and/or Xero
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business
- Proactive, adaptable and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

- Attractive salary package of $120,000 - $135,000 + super
