Role Description This part-time remote Corporate Finance Analyst role focuses on supporting financial decision-making and performance analysis for Metrics Lab. The analyst reviews and interprets financial statements, prepares financial models, and assists with financial planning to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.
Day-to-day tasks include analyzing revenue streams and costs, assessing profitability of digital marketing initiatives, preparing concise financial reports and dashboards, and identifying trends and risks. The role also collaborates with internal stakeholders to provide data-backed recommendations, ensure financial accuracy, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Robust analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.
- Solid understanding of finance principles, including corporate finance and financial planning.
- Proficiency in working with financial statements and preparing clear, accurate financial reports.
- Experience building and maintaining financial models to support forecasting and scenario analysis.
- Advanced skills in spreadsheets and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets); familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
- Relevant academic background in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple part-time assignments remotely.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-finance stakeholders.
- Interest in or experience with digital marketing, SaaS, or data-driven businesses is beneficial.
