We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Counsellor to join our growing team. This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred counselling services to individuals, supporting their emotional wellbeing and helping them achieve positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual counselling and therapeutic support.
- Conduct assessments and develop person-centred support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and documentation.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, and other professionals.
- Uphold ethical, professional, and evidence-based practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Counsellor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Current registration or membership with ACA, PACFA or AASW
Preferred
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and person-centred practice.
- Experience in crisis intervention and risk assessment.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
