We're looking for an experienced Crushing Supervisor to join our team at the Wiluna West Iron Ore Project on a 2:1 FIFO roster (Week of Days / Week of Nights). Pilbara Resource Group (PRG) is seeking an experienced Crushing Supervisor to join our team at the Wiluna West Iron Ore Project. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of crushing and screening operations while leading a team focused on safety, performance and operational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Crushing & Screening, you will:
- Lead daily crushing and screening operations across Fixed and Mobile Crushing Plants
- Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership and compliance
- Supervise operators, contractors and maintenance personnel
- Coordinate daily production to achieve throughput, availability and quality targets
- Monitor plant performance and minimise downtime
- Coordinate planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance activities
- Conduct pre-starts, toolbox meetings and workplace inspections
- Complete production reporting and shift handovers
- Coach, mentor and develop your team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience supervising crushing and screening operations within mining
- Strong knowledge of fixed and/or mobile crushing plants
- Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and contractors
- Sound understanding of WHS legislation and mining regulations
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving skills
- Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Ability to work a FIFO roster
Desirable
- Iron ore mining experience
- Certificate IV in Leadership & Management
- High Risk Work Licences
- First Aid and/or Emergency Response qualifications
- Shutdown coordination experience
- Continuous Improvement and ICAM investigation experience
- Diploma in Surface Operations Management
