Kent is seeking Expressions of Interest from CSU Technical Author – Electrical Systems Specialists for a major underground pumped storage hydroelectric project in regional NSW, featuring six 333 MW motor-generators among the highest power-density machines in the southern hemisphere.
On a 12-month contract (extension option), you'll convert OEM-sourced electrical commissioning procedures — covering generators, excitation, HV switchgear and protection — into Australian-compliant, field-ready documentation.
We're looking for
- 15+ years' electrical commissioning experience on large synchronous machines or comparable high-voltage rotating plant
- Hands-on experience with major OEM motor-generators (e.g. Voith, GE, ABB, Siemens, Andritz, Toshiba or equivalent)
- Generator protection and HV/EHV GIS switchgear commissioning experience
- Demonstrated technical authoring — writing complex electrical commissioning procedures, not just executing them
- Electrical Engineering degree (Power Systems preferred) and NSW-recognised electrical license
