Our client is a large and complex organisation operating within a highly regulated environment. They are undertaking significant cyber security and technology initiatives focused on strengthening security governance, architecture assurance, and risk management capabilities.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Assurance - Security Architecture Specialist to provide cyber security assurance across key technology initiatives and architectural programs. You will assess security designs, perform risk analysis, ensure compliance with security frameworks and standards, and work closely with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver secure outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct security architecture assessments against policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform risk and compliance reviews of new and existing technology initiatives.
- Identify threats, vulnerabilities, and security risks within proposed solutions.
- Recommend and design security controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Provide security architecture guidance and conduct architecture reviews across infrastructure, applications, and outsourced services.
- Develop security assessments, reports, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, solution architects,



and business stakeholders to embed security into project delivery.
- Monitor emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Support cyber governance and security approval processes across strategic initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise

- Robust security architecture design and review experience across complex enterprise environments.
- Demonstrated experience conducting cyber risk assessments and security assurance activities.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and regulatory requirements, including NIST Cyber Security Framework (NIST CSF).
- Experience across multiple security domains, including:
- Cloud Security (essential)
- Network Security
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Application Security
- Cryptography
- Strong understanding of infrastructure, platforms, secure configuration management, and security technologies.

Soft Skills

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong report writing and documentation capability. ,
- Ability to influence and negotiate with both business and cyber security stakeholders.
