About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to strengthen cyber resilience across enterprise systems, networks, cloud platforms, and applications. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security controls, managing cyber risks, responding to incidents, and driving continuous security improvements across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across infrastructure and cloud environments.
- Manage and optimise security tools including SIEM, MDR, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, risk assessments, and security reviews.
- Support audits and ensure alignment with security standards and frameworks.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and operational teams to embed security best practices.
- Provide risk-based security advice to technical and business stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

- 5-10 years' experience in Cyber Security, SOC, or technical security roles.
- Hands-on experience with UpGuard, Tenable, SIEM, and MDR platforms .




- Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, routers, switches, and security monitoring tools .
- Proven experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and risk assessment .
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate security requirements into practical technical solutions.

Qualifications & Certifications

- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CompTIA SecurityX .

Desirable Skills

- Threat hunting and advanced threat detection experience.
- Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001/27002, CIS Controls, and Essential Eight .
- Experience delivering security awareness initiatives.
- Scripting and automation using Python or PowerShell .
