We're partnering with a large, complex organisation delivering a major, multi-year cyber security uplift program, and are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join on a 12-month contract basis, 3 days onsite in Sydney.
This is a hands-on architecture role sitting across a multi-vendor security setting, covering network segmentation, identity security, and platform hardening. You'll be working within an established program structure alongside dedicated PM and BA support, contributing to design and delivery across several concurrent workstreams.
Key areas of focus:
- Network segmentation design and implementation (macro and micro), including next-gen firewall and NAC technologies
- Identity and access architecture, including IAM, IGA, and PAM
- Cyber hardening aligned to established security frameworks (e.g. Essential Eight, ISO 27001, NIST CSF)
- Architecture consistency across a multi-vendor technology stack
- Direct, hands-on involvement in design and configuration, not purely documentation and governance
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience architecting network segmentation and identity solutions in complex, enterprise-scale environments
- Hands-on experience with next-gen firewall and NAC platforms (Palo Alto and/or Aruba highly regarded)
- Strong grounding in identity and access management (IAM/IGA/PAM)
- Experience delivering hardening initiatives against recognised security frameworks
- Comfortable operating at pace across multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities
- Available for 3 days onsite per week in Sydney
This role suits an architect who is genuinely comfortable in the detail, someone who can move between design and hands-on delivery, rather than a purely strategic or documentation-focused presence. Interested candidates should apply with an up to date CV. Client details will be shared with shortlisted candidates directly.
