Data Lead

Permanent** An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Data Lead to establish and lead the data capability for a growing, multi-site organisation.

This is a genuine greenfield opportunity where you'll define the data strategy, build a modern data platform and create a trusted, data-driven environment that supports strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with the Executive Leadership Team, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on technical delivery, remaining actively involved in SQL, data modelling, reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the organisation's enterprise data strategy.
- Design and build a scalable data platform and reporting capability.
- Write complex SQL, develop data models and deliver executive dashboards.
- Integrate multiple business systems into a single source of truth.
- Deliver commercial insights that improve business performance, operational efficiency and decision making.
- Establish data governance, quality standards and best practices.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, forecasting and AI-driven analytics.
- Help shape and grow the organisation's long-term data capability.

You'll bring:

- Proven experience as a Data Lead, Head of Data or Data Manager.
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in data modelling, analytics and dashboard development.
- Strong experience designing enterprise data platforms,



data warehouses and ETL/ELT solutions.
- Expertise with Power BI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Experience integrating multiple business systems into a centralised reporting environment.
- Experience building or transforming a data and analytics capability from the ground up.
- Experience working within a multi-site, multi-entity or operationally complex organisation (such as healthcare, retail, professional services or similar).
- Experience delivering measurable commercial outcomes through data and analytics, not just reporting.
- Solid stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leaders and translate technical concepts into commercial outcomes.
- A naturally curious, commercially minded approach with a passion for solving complex business problems through data.
