Role: Databrics Lead

Type: Full time – Perm / Contract

Location: Sydney, AU

Status: Valid visa with full working rights

Key Skills:

- 8+ years in Data Engineering, with leadership experience
- Strong expertise in Databricks, Python, PySpark, Databricks SQL
- Experience building data ingestion frameworks (batch, streaming, CDC)
- Hands-on with Delta Lake & Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
- Robust knowledge of AWS/Azure/GCP cloud platforms
- Experience in CI/CD, Git, and DataOps practices
- Data modeling (Star/Snowflake), SCD concepts

Responsibilities:

- Design metadata-driven ingestion frameworks for enterprise data
- Define and enforce Lakehouse architecture standards
- Lead technical design, code reviews, and mentor engineers
- Optimize Spark jobs for performance and cost efficiency
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
- Ensure data governance using Unity Catalog
