Join the DCLS Board Darwin Community Legal Service is seeking two voluntary Board members to help guide our organisation through its next stage of growth. DCLS provides free legal services, tenancy advice, disability and aged care advocacy, and community education across the Northern Territory. We also work to improve laws, policies and systems that affect people experiencing disadvantage.

We Are Particularly Interested In People

With Experience In Governance or not-for-profit leadership

Disability, including lived, caring or skilled experience

Aged care

Finance, risk or strategic planning We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disability, carers and people connected to the aged care sector.

Previous

Board experience is welcome but not essential. We are looking for people with sound judgement,



integrity and a commitment to justice, rights and inclusion. The Board meets every two months on the third Monday of the month, from 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

Meetings are held in person, with attendance by Microsoft Teams available when needed. Board members may also participate in a sub committee and attend occasional DCLS events.
