Dental Assistant — Qualified / Experienced

Join our team as a skilled Dental Assistant!

We're on the lookout for a qualified and experienced Dental Assistant to join our practice. If you're confident chairside, thrive in a quick-paced clinical environment, and take pride in delivering excellent patient care, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting, OR 5 years of hands-on experience in dental assisting

- Solid experience assisting with crown and bridge work, root canals, and general dentistry

- Strong understanding of infection control protocols — this is essential
- A team player who's happy to follow our practice's uniform and workplace procedures

- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine passion for patient care

We run to high clinical standards — here's what working with us looks like:

- Punctual and prepared — seated and ready before the morning huddle, every day

- Strict sterilization discipline — unidirectional dirty-to-clean flow, no shortcuts on cross-contamination control
- The 10-Minute Flip — full room turnover in 10 minutes between patients: disinfection with proper contact time, fresh barriers, and doctor-specific tray setup. Our pre-stocked tubs and standardized tray systems make this genuinely achievable — operatories are stage-ready before the patient is ever seated

- Anticipatory assisting — you read the procedure and transfer instruments before the dentist has to ask

- Diagnostic quality control — you self-audit your x-rays and scans before the provider enters the room

- Patient-first communication — you walk every patient through a roadmap of their appointment, use intraoral photos and visual aids to make problems visible, and connect treatment to what matters to them personally

- Professional handoffs — clinical briefing conducted in front of the patient,

so nothing is lost between assistant and dentist

- Surgical-precision documentation — notes, histories, and codes completed before end of day, every day

- Genuine aftercare — next-day relationship care calls after major procedures

If that list excites you rather than intimidates you, you're exactly who we're looking for.

Pay

- $35 – $55 per hour, depending on your qualifications, experience, and skill set — well above award for the right candidate

- Weekend penalty rates apply on top of your base rate for ordinary hours worked on weekends

- We reward proven skills and experience

Premium rates for premium skills — the upper range is reserved for assistants who demonstrate excellence across our full clinical standard

Employment Type

- Full-time or Casual positions available

(Please note: part-time applications will not be considered — full-time or casual only.)

Key Dates

- Position start date: 25 August

- First application round closes: 15 August (interviews to follow shortly after)

- Second application round closes: 2 September

Looking to start sooner? Apply before the first cut-off date on 15 August to be considered in the earliest round of interviews.
