Our client has been delivering bulk earthworks and industrial site development projects across South East Queensland for more than 50 years. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join their Ipswich-based workshop team.

Working alongside a close-knit and experienced team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment, ensuring machinery remains secure, reliable, and ready for site.

About the Role

This is a hands-on workshop-based position where you'll diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance on a range of heavy mobile plant, including:

- Dozers
- Graders
- Excavators
- Moxy Trucks

You'll also utilise workshop machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines, to manufacture or repair components as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- Trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Diesel Fitting or equivalent)
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy diesel equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains and mechanical systems
- Experience working on CAT mobile plant, particularly D6, D7, D8, 730, 740, 615 and 623 models (highly regarded)




- Experience operating machining equipment such as lathes and milling machines
- Your own tools
- HR Truck Licence (desirable)
- Strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively within a team
