The Digital Content & Marketing Manager is a temporary peak-period role created to increase the Festival's capacity to produce high-quality content and deliver key marketing communications during the lead-up to and throughout Sydney Fringe Festival. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, this role will create engaging digital content, manage the social media calendar, and build and deliver eDMs that drive ticket sales, increase audience engagement, support Partnerships, and showcase the breadth of the Festival's program. This is a hands-on production and marketing role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised and can manage multiple channels and campaigns with quick turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities Content Creation

- Produce engaging social media content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn.
- Capture photo and video content at Festival events, launches and performances, with own gear supplied.
- Edit short-form video content for Reels, TikTok and Stories.
- Create graphics and digital assets using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Develop artist spotlights, audience testimonials, partner content and behind-the-scenes content.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Partnerships Manager to develop engaging content that showcases Festival partners and delivers value against sponsorship objectives.

Social Media Calendar

Management

- Own and manage the social media calendar across all platforms throughout the campaign and Festival period.
- Source and produce content to fill the calendar, coordinating with artists, venues and internal teams for supply of assets.
- Schedule and publish content in line with the calendar,



adjusting in real time as Festival moments unfold. EDM & Campaign Support
- Build eDMs throughout the Festival period working closely with the Head of Marketing & CRM & Ticketing Manager.
- Work alongside the marketing team to execute promotional campaigns and ticket sales initiatives.
- Prepare content for EDMs, website updates and paid advertising campaigns.
- Repurpose existing creative assets into multiple content formats.

Festival

Coverage

- Attend Festival events, media calls and key activations to capture live content.
- Publish real-time content during major Festival moments where required.
- Coordinate with artists, venues and internal teams to ensure timely content delivery.

Content

Management

- Organise and maintain digital asset libraries.
- Ensure content aligns with Sydney Fringe Festival brand guidelines.
- Coordinate content approvals and scheduling with the marketing team.
- Support reporting by supplying campaign imagery and content performance insights.

Skills & Experience The successful candidate will demonstrate:

- Experience creating engaging content for social media platforms.
- Experience building and deploying EDMs (e.g. via Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar).
- Strong photography and videography skills.




- Experience editing short-form video content.
- Proficiency in Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Premiere Pro).
- Ability to manage a content calendar and multiple priorities against tight deadlines.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Experience working in live events, festivals or the arts is highly desirable.
- Understanding of current social media trends and platform best practice.

By the conclusion of the contract, success will include:

- Consistent delivery of high-quality content and EDMs throughout the Festival campaign.
- A well-managed, consistently delivered social media content calendar.
- Increased volume of engaging social content during the Festival period.
- Timely production of campaign assets to support ticket sales.
- Effective coverage of key Festival events and activations.
- Positive collaboration across the Marketing, Partnerships and Programming teams.

Working Conditions • 0.8 FTE (4 days per week) fixed-term contract from 24 August to 16 October 2026.

- This isn’t your average 9 to 5 as evening and weekend work will be required during the Festival period, as part of the contracted hours.
- Based in the Sydney Fringe Festival office in Marrickville with regular travel to Festival venues across Sydney.
- Must have access to own equipment (preferably camera, sound and basic lighting) for content creation
