We're seeking a Digital Engineering Technician to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in Darwin, working alongside engineers, designers and project managers across a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure and development projects.
This isn't simply another drafting position.
You'll use GIS, BIM, spatial data, 3D modelling and advanced visualisation to transform technical engineering information into accurate, engaging digital outputs that help clients and stakeholders better understand projects.
What Could You Be Creating?
Your work will include
- GIS mapping and spatial analysis
- 3D models and rendered imagery
- Fly-through and drive-through presentations
- Animations and project visualisations
- BIM modelling and digital coordination
- Interactive mapping and digital project interfaces
- Visual material for client presentations and stakeholder engagement
- Integration of engineering, survey, GIS and project data
You'll take complex engineering information and turn it into something clients, stakeholders and project teams can clearly see, understand and engage with.
Technology & Software
Experience with some of the following would be highly regarded:
ArcGIS | Revit | Navisworks | AutoCAD | Civil 3D | 12d Model | Twinmotion | Unreal Engine | Unity | Lumion
You don't need to know every package. What's more important is your digital capability, spatial understanding and ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information accurately.
We're Looking For
Ideally, you'll have around 2 years' experience across digital engineering, GIS, BIM, spatial mapping, project visualisation or a related discipline.
Your background could be in engineering, BIM, GIS, spatial science, architecture or design.
More importantly, you'll be technically curious, visually creative and excited by finding better ways to communicate engineering designs.
