Position overview

The Director of Growth is a key role within the retail energy team, responsible for delivering the company's growth strategy across Residential, Commercial & Industrial (C&I;), SME retail sales. The role owns the execution of growth initiatives that drive customer acquisition, retention, revenue growth, product innovation, and market expansion across the energy retail business. As a member of the Retail Leadership Team, the Director of Growth is accountable for aligning commercial strategy with market opportunities while partnering closely with the Heads of Operations, Marketing, and Engineering (Technology) to ensure initiatives are operationally scalable, compliant, and effectively delivered. This role is reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Develop and execute the company's growth strategy to achieve revenue, customer, and market share objectives.
- Lead the Residential Product Development, C&I; Sales, Sales and Marketing functions.
- Drive the development and launch of creative energy retail products and services that meet customer needs and deliver commercial value.
- Oversee the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities and market opportunities.
- Drive growth through customer acquisition, channel optimisation, product development, and customer lifecycle management across all channels.
- Ensure Marketing strategies and campaigns effectively support brand awareness, lead generation, customer acquisition, and product adoption.
- Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, strategic partnerships, emerging market trends,



and adjacent revenue streams.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators across all growth functions.
- Own growth-related forecasting, pipeline management, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Present growth strategies, performance outcomes, and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team as required.
- Build and develop high-performing teams that deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and customer focus.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Engagement

- Partner with the Head of Operations to ensure growth initiatives, new products, and customer propositions are operationally feasible and scalable.
- Ensure all products, sales activities, marketing initiatives, and growth programs meet regulatory and compliance obligations.
- Partner with the Head of Technology to prioritise and deliver technology capabilities that support customer growth, product innovation, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Align commercial priorities with delivery capabilities to ensure successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to balance commercial growth objectives with customer experience, compliance, operational excellence, and technology delivery.
- Ensure partnership with Trading and Finance heads so that energy procurement costs allow delivery of products that resonate in the market whilst remaining profitable

About You

We're looking for an experienced commercial leader who brings:

- Extensive experience within the Australian retail energy industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a growth leadership position in the Energy space
- Proven success developing and executing growth strategies.
- Experience leading Product, Sales and Marketing teams.
- Strong commercial, strategic and analytical capability.
- Outstanding leadership and people management skills.
