Description

My Team Support Services (MTSS) is seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join a dedicated support team assisting an adult male with quadriplegia to live independently in his own home.

This rewarding role involves providing personal care, domestic support, exercise assistance, meal preparation, and support with daily routines that enable the participant to maintain his independence and quality of life.

Available Shifts

Permanent Part-Time and Casual opportunities available:

Morning Shifts

- Approximately 6:30am to 8:30am

Evening Shifts

- Approximately 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Shifts are available across 7 days per week, with opportunities to build a regular roster.

About the Role

You will work as part of a small support team providing:

- Personal care and hygiene support
- Assistance with dressing and grooming
- Manual handling and slide-board transfers
- Daily stretching and exercise programs
- Meal preparation and light household duties
- Cleaning and laundry tasks
- Support with skin integrity monitoring




- Assistance with mobility and positioning
- Medication assistance in accordance with training and organisational policies
- Maintaining accurate records and communication with the support team

Comprehensive participant-specific training will be provided.

About You

We are looking for support workers who are:

- Compassionate and person-centred
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working independently in a participant’s home
- Physically capable of assisting with transfers and personal care tasks
- Respectful of participant choice, dignity and privacy
- Able to follow care plans and established routines
- Robust communicators with a positive attitude

Essential Requirements

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Australian Driver Licence
- Reliable vehicle
- Phone for rostering and documentation
- Rights to work in Australia

Desirable

- Experience supporting people with physical disabilities or spinal cord injuries
- Manual handling experience
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability or equivalent
