Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to NDIS participants and other clients who present with complex needs and behaviours of concern. The role focuses on promoting choice, independence, dignity, and safety while implementing positive behaviour support strategies and improving clients’ quality of life.

Key ResponsibilitiesDirect Support

- Provide day-to-day support to clients with challenging behaviours in home, community, and program environments.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies as outlined in Behaviour Support Plans (BSP).
- Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, meal preparation, budgeting, community access, transport, and household tasks.
- Recognise early signs of behavioural escalation and use de-escalation strategies appropriately.
- Maintain skilled boundaries and deliver trauma-informed, respectful care at all times.

Behaviour Support & Safety

- Follow all Restrictive Practice (RP)



guidelines in accordance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
- Accurately document and report any use of restrictive practices, incidents, or behavioural changes.
- Use least restrictive, person-centred strategies and ensure safety of the client, staff, and others.

Communication & Documentation

- Maintain accurate progress notes, incident reports, shift reports, and data collection as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, guardians, allied health professionals, and internal teams.
- Escalate concerns promptly to Team Leaders or Behaviour Practitioners.

Job Type: Casual Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate

- Seville Grove WA 6112: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:
- Certificate I - IV (Required)

Licence/Certification:
- Working with Children Check (Required)
- Driver Licence (Required)
