Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Disability Support Worker role based in Hobart, TAS. The role involves providing practical and emotional support to NDIS participants in their homes and the community, assisting with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household activities.

The Disability Support

Worker will help participants build skills for greater independence, support engagement in social and recreational activities, and promote safety and wellbeing at all times.

Responsibilities also include following individual support plans, maintaining clear documentation, collaborating with families and other professionals,



and upholding NDIS quality and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

- Experience in disability or community Support Work, including direct participant support and person-centered care.
- Solid Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities for building respectful relationships and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices, duty of care, and NDIS quality and safety requirements.
- Basic Technical Support skills relevant to assistive technologies, documentation systems, and mobile or digital tools used in care delivery.
- Relevant qualification in disability support, community services, or a related field (or progress toward one) is highly regarded.
- Understanding of the NDIS framework and commitment to participant rights, choice, and control.
- Ability to manage time effectively, follow care plans, and respond calmly to changing needs or challenging situations.
- Current Working With Vulnerable People / Working With Children Check, national police check, and first aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
